DJ Shoot — LÅP

I created this shoot for my DJ account and business cards. I wanted images that matched the identity I was building around my artist name, LÅP. They needed to feel modern and experimental, and above all unlike conventional DJ portraits.

During the shoot we experimented with movement and long exposures, creating the blur and double forms in the images. I chose this approach because movement connects naturally to music, rhythm and the energy of DJing. I kept the styling and setting deliberately restrained so the photographic effects would remain central.

I used the final images for social media and my business cards, creating a recognisable visual style for my DJ identity. I especially enjoyed this project because it brought together my interests in photo styling, design and music.

After the shoot I edited the images in the style I had envisioned for my DJ account, then began designing my own business card. I wanted the experimental character of the photography to carry through into the design and to fit my identity as a DJ.

This became the final design. The mock-up shows clearly how the card looks in print. I have since had the cards produced and they are ready to hand out at performances and other moments when I present myself as a DJ.
